Terms & Conditions

Lily Wheeler Interior Design & Styling
Last updated: October 2026

These Terms & Conditions apply to all services provided by Chelsea Lily Quartey-Wheeler, trading as Lily Wheeler ("I", "me", "my") to clients ("you", "your"). By booking or commissioning my services, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

1. Services

I provide interior design, styling, sourcing and creative consultancy services as described on my website and in any written proposal or quotation provided to you.

Services may include:

  • E-Design & Styling

  • Sourcing

  • Design Advice

  • Freelance Interior & Brand Support

The precise scope of work, deliverables, fees and timescales will be confirmed before work begins.

I reserve the right to recommend an alternative service where I believe it would better suit your requirements.

2. Enquiries, proposals & booking

I review enquiries personally and may request a small amount of additional information to understand your requirements and determine the most appropriate service.

An initial enquiry does not constitute a booking or create an obligation for either party.

Where appropriate, I will provide a written proposal or confirmation outlining the agreed scope of work, deliverables, fee and estimated timescale.

A booking is confirmed once the scope of work has been agreed and the required payment has been received.

I will not begin work until payment has been received.

3. Fees & payment

All fees will be confirmed before work begins.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing:

  • E-Design & Styling and Sourcing services are payable in advance.

  • Design Advice sessions are payable at the time of booking.

  • Freelance Interior & Brand Support will be invoiced according to the agreed arrangement.

Invoices are payable upon receipt unless otherwise agreed in writing.

If payment is not received, I reserve the right to pause work until the outstanding balance has been paid.

All prices are exclusive of VAT where applicable.

4. E-Design & Styling

E-Design & Styling provides decorative design direction for individual rooms or entire homes.

The service includes the deliverables outlined in the agreed package, which may include:

  • Initial questionnaire

  • 60-minute design consultation

  • Bespoke mood board and sample board

  • Colour palette

  • Curated shopping list with supplier links

  • Styling and placement guidance

The precise scope of the project, number of rooms and deliverables will be agreed before work begins.

The initial enquiry process is intended to establish whether the service is suitable for your requirements. Detailed project information, preferences, measurements and design considerations will be gathered through the project questionnaire and 60-minute consultation following confirmation and payment.

Design concepts are developed based on the information, measurements, photographs and other materials provided by you.

The service includes the agreed design deliverables. Ongoing design support, additional consultations or follow-up advice are not included unless agreed separately.

Additional revisions, consultations or substantial changes to the agreed brief may incur an additional fee. Any additional work will be discussed and agreed with you before proceeding.

Unless otherwise agreed, E-Design & Styling does not include architectural drawings, structural changes, building works, project management or technical construction drawings.

5. Sourcing

Sourcing services are based on the brief and requirements agreed at the start of the project.

I will provide a curated selection of recommendations with relevant supplier information and links.

Product availability, pricing, delivery times and specifications are determined by the relevant supplier and may change without notice. I cannot guarantee that a particular product will remain available or at the quoted price.

Unless trade purchasing or procurement has specifically been agreed, purchases are made directly by you with the relevant supplier and the supplier's own terms and conditions will apply.

Trade purchasing & procurement

Where appropriate, trade purchasing or procurement may be arranged on your behalf.

The arrangements for this will be agreed in writing before any purchases are made. This may include payment for goods in advance, a procurement or administration fee, delivery charges and any other costs associated with the purchase.

I will confirm the total amount payable before placing an order wherever reasonably possible.

Once an order has been approved by you, I cannot be responsible for changes in your requirements, incorrect measurements or specifications supplied by you, or delays, defects or failures caused by the supplier or delivery company.

Returns, exchanges and refunds are subject to the individual supplier's terms and conditions.

6. Design Advice

Design Advice sessions are intended to provide focused guidance on specific design questions or decisions.

Advice may cover areas such as paint colours, fabrics, furniture placement, styling, sourcing and decorative decisions.

Advice is based on the information and imagery provided by you during or before the consultation. I cannot guarantee the suitability of a product, colour or material in circumstances where I have not been able to inspect the property or relevant item in person.

Written recommendations following a consultation will reflect the discussion and advice provided during the session.

Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice are non-refundable.

Where an appointment is cancelled with more than 24 hours' notice, I will endeavour to rearrange the appointment where possible.

7. Freelance Interior & Brand Support

Freelance Interior & Brand Support is provided on an agreed project or hourly/day-rate basis.

The scope of work, deliverables, fees and timescale will be agreed before work begins.

Services may include product sourcing, styling and staging, newsletters, website content and other agreed creative support.

Additional work outside the agreed scope may incur additional charges. Any additional work will be discussed and agreed before proceeding.

8. Client responsibilities

To allow me to provide the services effectively, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate information, measurements, photographs and other materials requested.

  • Communicate decisions and feedback within a reasonable timeframe.

  • Review and approve designs, recommendations and purchases promptly.

  • Ensure that any measurements or dimensions supplied to me are accurate.

  • Obtain any necessary permissions, consents or approvals relating to work carried out at your property.

Delays caused by missing information, late decisions or changes to the brief may affect the agreed timescale.

9. Products, suppliers & third parties

I may recommend products, suppliers, tradespeople or other third parties based on their suitability for your project.

Unless otherwise agreed, any contract for the purchase of goods or services is between you and the relevant supplier or third party.

I will take reasonable care when making recommendations but cannot guarantee the performance, availability, quality, delivery or suitability of goods or services supplied by third parties.

10. Changes to the brief

I understand that projects can evolve. Reasonable adjustments to the agreed brief can usually be accommodated where practical.

If your requirements change substantially or additional work is requested, I will let you know if this is likely to affect the fee or timescale and will agree any additional charges with you before proceeding.

11. Cancellation & termination

You may request to cancel a service before work has commenced.

Where work has already begun, fees may be payable for work completed up to the date of cancellation.

For services purchased online or at a distance, you may have rights under UK consumer law to cancel within a specified cooling-off period. Where you ask me to begin providing the service during this period, you acknowledge that your cancellation rights may be affected to the extent permitted by law.

For Design Advice appointments, cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice are non-refundable.

I reserve the right to terminate an agreement where invoices remain unpaid, where the agreed scope of work can no longer reasonably be delivered, or where there has been a serious breach of these Terms & Conditions.

12. Intellectual property

All original design concepts, mood boards, sample boards, written recommendations, layouts and other creative materials produced by me remain my intellectual property unless otherwise agreed in writing.

You may use the materials provided to you for your own personal, non-commercial purposes in connection with the project.

Materials may not be reproduced, resold, distributed or used commercially without my prior written permission.

13. Photography & portfolio use

I may request permission to photograph completed projects or use photographs supplied by you for my portfolio, website, social media and other promotional purposes.

I will only use identifiable photographs of your home or project with your permission.

You retain ownership of photographs you provide to me unless otherwise agreed.

14. Liability

I will provide my services with reasonable care and skill.

I am not responsible for:

  • Building, structural or architectural issues;

  • Work carried out by contractors, tradespeople or other third parties;

  • Incorrect measurements or information supplied by you;

  • Product defects, delivery delays or supplier failures;

  • Changes in product availability or pricing;

  • Any loss arising from your failure to follow recommendations or instructions.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions limits or excludes any liability that cannot legally be limited or excluded under UK law.

15. Confidentiality

I will treat information shared with me in connection with your project as confidential and will not disclose it to third parties except where reasonably necessary to provide the agreed services, where required by law, or with your permission.

16. Privacy

Personal information provided to me will be handled in accordance with my Privacy Policy.

17. Website & recommendations

Images, product links and supplier information provided as part of my services are intended as recommendations and inspiration. I make reasonable efforts to ensure information is accurate at the time it is provided, but prices, availability, specifications and links may change.

18. Governing law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
